After years of research, Herman Miller has developed the Living Office in response to changes in the workplace and the way people work.

We are amidst a period of great social change. The fundamental ideas behind what work is, where it is done, and how we do it have been brought into question. Three years ago, Herman Miller took these questions further and asked what would management methods, tools, and workplaces look like if we started fresh. This insight led to the Living Office.

Living Office has developed four distinct areas of focus: it is a new, human-centered point of view on work and workplaces that helps people and their organizations prosper; a placemaking framework to deliver these kinds of places; a diverse portfolio of furnishings and tools for provisioning them; and services and support that enable their creation and livelihood.

Tomorrow’s offices need to attract, nurture, enable, and retain the talent that will drive innovation and execution, and bring an organization’s strategy to life.
